Location:
Pyrénées View is situated in the small, rural village of Loudet, which has a population of only around 200, and is located at an altitude of 500m (due to our proximity to the foothills of the Pyrénées mountain range). We are in the Haute-Garonne 'département' of the Midi-Pyrénées 'région' of southwestern France.
We are approximately six miles from the nearest town - Montréjeau - which has two supermarkets, a variety of shops, bars and restaurants, a street market, regional tourist office, etc. Other nearby towns include St. Gaudens and Lannemezan, which are each approximately 10 miles away. Both offer plentiful facilities for the visitor, including further tourist information offices.
To be extremely precise for the Guides and Scouts amongst you, you will find us at longitude 00° 34' 10" (East) and latitude: 43° 08' 53" (North)!
Getting here:
Cheap flights are abundant and there is a choice of local airports. Tarbes-Lourdes airport is less than an hour away by car. Toulouse and Pau are both approximately one hour and fifteen minutes drive. Carcassonne airport is about 2 hours drive. Slightly further a-field, Biarritz airport is less than two and a half hours from us.
You can also reach us by train. Eurostar travels from London St Pancras, with a change at Paris, to either Tarbes or Toulouse. You can book online at  www.eurostar.com.
Should you wish to make your own way to us, we will be happy to supply you with all the necessary details and directions, once your stay with us has been booked.
N.B. INITIAL PROVISIONS. On your arrival, there will be a bottle of wine, orange juice, a few beers, tea, coffee, milk & sugar waiting for you. In France, you will not find shops open late in the evening: if you will be arriving late, we are happy to buy any provisions that you will require for your first night/morning with us. There is NO charge for this service, other than the costs of the items.
